Our History
A body of believers in Christ began meeting at the
Zeiser farmhouse on Melrose Rd. during the summer of 1965. The director
of MidStates, Walter Hoard, was an interim pastor during the first
years. Only a few families met on a regular basis. The first full time
pastor was Robert Delaney.
The church moved to its current location during the
early 70s. During that time several pastors shepherded the flock. After
Pastor Delaney left, Rockwood was led by Carl Nagel and then Richard
Smith. During the fall of 1973 Pastor Charles Pete Patton began
serving as a part-time pastor. Pastor Patton has been serving Rockwood
for over 50 years.
